Spker Refund Policy

1. Products sold and service period

A regular pass bundles single entries to regular sessions of a community group by the session, and a guest pass is a single entry to a guest session. All products are provided as online video sessions and nothing is shipped.

The validity of a regular pass is the deadline for being assigned to a group. Sessions assigned within the validity period can be joined as normal even if they take place after the expiry date.

Native · creator groups ("cohort groups") are sold at a group price per cohort, not with regular passes. Each cohort has a set number of total sessions and a topic for each session. Promotion codes and credit cannot be applied to the payment, and guest passes cannot be used to join.

2. Withdrawal (within 7 days of purchase)

① Members may withdraw within 7 days of the date the pass was supplied. Passes are issued when the payment is approved, so the payment date is the supply date.

② If no session has been joined, the full payment amount is refunded.

③ If a session has already been joined and sessions used, withdrawal is limited for the used portion. In this case the balance after deducting the used sessions is refunded, with no penalty.

④ For a cohort group, the full payment amount is refunded if the request is within 7 days of payment and before the first session of that cohort starts. Once the first session has started, the refund follows the formula in Section 3 even within 7 days.

3. Mid-term cancellation (after the withdrawal period)

① Even after the withdrawal period, members may request cancellation and a refund at any time. Refunds for cohort groups not covered by Section 2 ④ also follow this section.

② The refund amount is calculated as follows.

Remaining amount = Payment amount − (Sessions used × Price per session)
Penalty          = Remaining amount × 10%
Refund           = Remaining amount − Penalty

③ The payment amount in the formula is the amount actually paid after discounts. Promotion code discounts are excluded and credit used is included.

④ Sessions used are sessions whose attendance has been confirmed and that have been used up. Attendance is confirmed automatically from Zoom participation records, and if it cannot be determined automatically the Company checks and enters it. Sessions confirmed as absence or excused absence count even if not joined; sessions only assigned to a group that did not take place do not count.

⑤ For cohort groups, excused absence is only a notice: the session is used up and there is no compensation. Sessions cancelled for operational or leader reasons, for which a make-up session was added, do not count as used; joining the make-up session counts as used.

⑥ Refunds are requested per purchase. One purchase cannot be split by session for a partial refund. Refunding a cohort group removes the member from that cohort, and later sessions cannot be joined.

⑦ If a member holds several purchases, sessions used follow the order in which the ones closest to expiry were deducted first.

4. Refund examples

The examples below use the sales prices on and after the effective date of this policy. For passes paid before the effective date, the same formula applies with the price at the time of payment as the payment amount.

When credit was also used

A regular pass (10 sessions, ₩149,000) paid with ₩5,000 in credit and ₩144,000 by card, refunded after 7 days with 4 sessions used:

Remaining amount = 149,000 − (4 × 19,900) = ₩69,400
Penalty          = 69,400 × 10% = ₩6,940
Refund           = ₩62,460
Credit restored  = 62,460 × (5,000 ÷ 149,000) ≈ ₩2,096
Card refund      = 62,460 − 2,096 = ₩60,364

When a promotion code was used

A regular pass (10 sessions, ₩149,000) paid at ₩126,650 with a 15% discount code, refunded after 7 days with 3 sessions used:

Remaining amount = 126,650 − (3 × 19,900) = ₩66,950
Penalty          = 66,950 × 10% = ₩6,695
Refund           = ₩60,255 (the promotion code used is not restored)

5. When refunds are limited

Refunds of passes paid with credit follow Section 8 ③.

6. Refunds for reasons attributable to the Company

If the Company fails to provide the Service for reasons attributable to it, the full payment amount is refunded. No penalty applies in this case. However, when a cohort group is ended mid-cohort, the special rule in the last paragraph of this section applies.

If the Company cancels a session, that session is not deducted, and one session is added to the community group.

If a cohort group session is cancelled for operational or leader reasons (including leader absence), one make-up session is added at the end of the cohort. Even with a make-up session added, total sessions in the refund formula follow the value at the time of payment.

However, when a session does not take place because no one was expected to attend, there is no session to deduct, so it is not carried over.

(Special rule) When the Company ends a cohort group mid-cohort, notwithstanding the first paragraph of this section, members who paid are refunded remaining sessions × price per session (payment amount ÷ total sessions) with no penalty. This refund is processed by the Company without a request from the member, and no make-up sessions are added for sessions cancelled by the ending.

7. How to request a refund

Including your payment details and the reason for the refund in your request speeds up processing. Refunds for a cohort ended mid-cohort under Section 6 are processed without a request.

8. Refund processing time and method

① Refunds are processed within 3 business days of the request. The Company processes refunds by cancelling the payment through the PG regardless of the payment method, and the refund formula and penalty rate are the same for every payment method.

② Depending on the payment method, it may take additional time for the money to arrive.

③ If credit was used for payment, the refund is split in the original payment ratio. The credit share is restored as credit and keeps the expiry date of the original credit. If the entire payment was made with credit, the entire refund is restored as credit.

④ If the expiry date of the original credit has already passed at the time of restoration, that credit expires as soon as it is restored.

⑤ Promotion codes are not restored on refund and remain used. A promotion code is treated as used when the payment is approved; if the payment fails or is interrupted, it is not treated as used.

9. Withdrawal from membership and refunds

When a member leaves Spker, all regular passes · guest passes · credit held and the remaining sessions of cohort groups expire and are not refunded. If you want a refund, please request it before leaving.

② Passes paid before the effective date of this policy are refunded based on the price and the terms · policies at the time of payment, and this policy does not apply retroactively.

③ The previous policy (v1.0.0) was prepared before the Service launched, and no member was subject to it when this policy took effect.
